How you pay should be a choice, not a scramble

Financing options for your home projects

A furnace does not check your bank account before it quits, and a sewer line never fails on a convenient weekend. The hardest part of a big repair is rarely the work, it is the timing. That is why we offer real choices in how you pay through trusted lending partners, on top of our flat-rate, upfront pricing.

Why financing helps

Financing that fits the project

The system with the lowest price on day one is almost never the one that costs the least to own. Financing exists for exactly that gap, the space between the right fix and what this month's budget allows.

It lets you say yes to the heating system, air conditioner, water heater, or plumbing project your home actually needs instead of patching a failing system and hoping it holds through January. In our experience, putting off a big repair rarely makes it cheaper, it usually makes it an emergency.

One of our favorite proof points is a friend of David's with a very large home and an electric bill that made him wince every month. Here is how it went:

  • Other companies quoted him a fraction of what the job actually required
  • We told him the truth about what it would take to do it right, and he chose the full solution
  • His electric bill dropped by roughly half
  • The savings land every month, like a dividend, for as long as he owns the house
  • The whole story is on our blog, and the ending is the point
Trusted lenders

Our lending partners

We have partnered with five lenders so you have real choices, not one take-it-or-leave-it plan. Each partner offers its own plans and runs its own application process.

All financing is subject to credit approval by the lender, not by us. Your Wahl technician or our office team will point you to the right application when you are ready.

The lender handles the paperwork and makes the credit decision. We handle the work.

How it works with upfront pricing

Everything at Wahl starts with flat-rate, upfront pricing and real choices. Financing is simply the second step: once you know exactly what each option costs, you choose how to pay for the one that fits your home and your priorities.

That order protects you. We are honest about not being the cheapest company in Pittsburgh, and roughly 60 percent of our business is maintenance-agreement customers who signed on to have us back in their homes multiple times a year.

Nobody keeps inviting back a company that played games with the price. Here is what upfront pricing means on every job:

  • More than one way to solve the problem on most jobs, laid out side by side
  • The full price of each option in writing before a single tool comes off the truck
  • No hourly meter running, and no number that grows once the walls are open
  • You are never asked to commit to financing before you understand the work being proposed
  • Nobody from Wahl will pressure you into a bigger job than you need
Just ask

Ask about options on any visit

You do not need a failing furnace to have this conversation. Ask any Wahl technician during a tune-up, a service call, or an estimate, and they will walk you through our lending partners and how each application works.

If you would rather sort it out from the couch first, contact us online or call (412) 276-9245.

We have been family-owned in Pittsburgh since 1980, three generations in, and the standard has not moved:

  • Treat every job like the biggest job of the year
  • If the right fix for your home is bigger than this month feels comfortable with, say so
  • Helping you find a workable way forward is part of the job, not a favor

Good to know

Questions, answered

Do I have to decide on financing before I know what the job costs?

No, and it should never work that way. Wahl uses flat-rate, upfront pricing, so you see the full price of each option in writing before any work begins, and financing only enters the conversation after that, if you decide it is the right way to pay.

Who are Wahl's financing partners?

We work with five lenders, Goodleap, Momnt, Synchrony, Wells Fargo, and EasyPay, so you have real choices instead of a single take-it-or-leave-it plan. Each one offers its own plans and runs its own application, and all financing is subject to credit approval by the lender, not by us.

Can I use financing for a repair, or only for a full replacement?

Financing gets used most on the bigger projects, system replacements, water heaters, major plumbing and sewer work, but it can be an option on other jobs too. Ask your technician on any visit, or call us at (412) 276-9245, and we will point you to the right lending partner for your situation.

How do I apply, and who decides if I am approved?

You apply directly with the lender you choose, and the lender makes the credit decision, not Wahl. Your technician or our office team can help you get started with any of our partners whenever you are ready.
